As  I am typing this post the clock says it's 12:15am. That's 15 minutes past midnight on December 1st.

Where does time go?

In my estimation, it's not that time is going faster, but in fact as we age, we are more aware that we have limited time.

Isn't that the truth?

Earlier today I listened to an audio by the one and only Anthony Robbins where he explained how the only thing we have that is equal is that we all have 24 hours a day.

I wrote a blog post back in March debunking the myth about time management. The only thing we can manage in this case is ourselves and what we do with whatever time we have while we are awake, right?

So let me share a few tips that will help you kick ass on this final 31 day period of 2017. And I will do this quickly because I don't have all day, capeesh?

What the heck does this even mean?

We all have heard of priorities, but what if we have our priorities screwed up? Let's face it, we all can catch ourselves spending way too much time on things that don't serve us.

My friend Erin at Savvy Outsourcing did  a great job helping me understand how she prioritizes her tasks. I think I'm gonna follow suit.

  1. What makes the most money today.
  2. What's the simplest thing you can accomplish.
  3. What are the things that will make the biggest impact on your future
  4. Everything else.

I've read somewhere that highly effective people wake up super early. Say 5am, so that by 8am they have crossed out some of their things on their lists.

I have lists, do you?

The thing is that when you are used to waking up at 7 am and attempt to wake up at 5 am, when you go to sleep at 2 am.. well that's not gonna feel too good and this will backfire on your productivity.

I know because I've done just that last week!

So if your intention is to get an earlier start, do it gradually. In 30 minute increments. Otherwise you're gonna overheat the brain-piece, lol.

Time, time, time. How elusive you are.

We all want more of it but guess what? We probably have family in town for the holidays and there's no shortage of holiday party invitations.

In fact, I do have my grandma in town, my brother and his family arrive in a couple of weeks and I have two fundraisers to attend.

Which means that I better optimize every minute of every hour so that I can accomplish more in less time.

Minimize distractions. Work in blocks of time. Be super laser focused and if you believe in multi-tasking, do it in an effective manner but no scatter brain.

As the month of December progresses, you are likely to have more family and other social engagements to attend.

My suggestion is load up your first couple of weeks, even weekends and get as much done during the first half of the month.

And don't forget to exercise, you probably will be stuffing your face..

One thing I'm still learning is that even when I'm on overdrive putting in 15-18 hour days, after 2 or 3 days I crash hard.

My face starts looking like Gary V and that's no good for the video camera.

Hope that makes sense. Just a few practical tips from yours truly.

After I add a picture or two on this blog post, I will be done writing it in under 45 minutes.

‘Cause ain't nobody got time fo that!
